Filmmakers whose films were chosen to appear in the 2025 Seattle AI Film Festival.
Aaron Sean Umanoff (also known as Scavie Scoobs) is an Italian-American rapper, filmmaker and painter from Los Angeles, CA known for his role as a founding member of the critically acclaimed hardcore hip-hop crew Custom Made. Custom Made were key players in helping to establish a mixtape scene in Los Angeles during the early 2000's and became the first West Coast artists to drop albums with legendary indie NYC hip-hop labels Rawkus and Babygrande Records. Besides his lengthy career as a musician, Umanoff has also been active as a filmmaker, graffiti artist and fashion designer. His work is gritty, raw, reality based and filled with tales of street life based on his real world experiences. He frequently combines vibrant pop art colors and abstract graffiti art with the aesthetics commonly found in neo noir films or documentaries to convey his unique style of cinema to the viewer. He is also the owner of the Los Angeles based full service film and music production studio Custom Made Creative, and the indie hip-hop label Custom Made Recordings. Umanoff creates art the only way he knows how; by staying true to his core values and being 100% authentic at all times no matter the cost.
