Born and raised in Berlin, Germany, Mark’s background as a writer of novels, computer games, and TV shows informs his approach to the emerging possibilities of AI filmmaking. After his first AI shorts, "Beauty Will Save the World" (2023) and "Empire" (2024), his trailer "The Day the World Prayed" (2024) won Curious Refuge’s first AI Film Trailer Competition in June 2024. This was followed by the trailer for "Riefenstahl" (2024), which earned the RealDreams Award in the ProjectOdyssey AI Film Competition in July 2024. Mark’s stories are rooted in an interest in the power of narratives and storytelling in shaping society, culture, history, and identity.
