How could the legs be on top when they're supposed to be underneath...
The absence of arms is particularly intriguing. Could our frying pan have decided that arms were superfluous for a day at the beach?
What happened to the frying pan itself? It seems that our kitchen utensil has managed to become completely invisible, leaving only these mysterious legs as a trace of its existence.
This unexpected interpretation prompts us to reflect: what really defines a frying pan? is it its form, its function, or simply our idea of it?
People who have long held a vague faith in the legendary “Day” become profoundly disappointed and start blaming one another in confusion when they open the coffin of the person they expected to rise again, only to discover a decayed corpse.
Amid the ensuing turmoil, a mysterious being shrouded in white light appears, yet no one recognizes it, and eventually most people leave. In the end, only one woman remains by the coffin, sorrowful, while the being silently watches over her. Finally, a man approaches her, and the story concludes.
Through this journey of waiting, belief, and the search for truth, the tale offers a reflection on the essence of life and the meaning of promises.
Two soulmates relive the same story in every era: they meet, they love, they lose. Director Statement I've been itching to get a crew together and make a film for a while but a crazy year of work has made that a hard task. I started playing around with Midjourney and other tools on the weekends just to scratch that creative itch. They're limiting as hell, but I wanted to try and craft a compelling story around those limitations. AI characters can't do backflips but boy can they stare dramatically. 3 months later, this is the final product. The most interesting part of this to me is the fact that every stage of filmmaking was happening simultaneously. Writing, storyboarding, "production", post, etc. I often had to make rewrites based on technical limitations just like any other film, but I could go back in and retroactively change anything at any time, down to a minor facial expression. Perhaps it's similar to animation. There's not yet a significant market for AI films. But with limited resources it can be a great creative exercise, or used as a proof-of-concept. Director Biography - Abraham Dawod Abraham Dawod is a Canadian-Egyptian filmmaker and assistant director based in Toronto. He grew up in Mississauga, Ontario where he began making films at age 17 and continues to write, direct and produce his own short films.
